WELCOME

The Elder Scrolls: Blades has been around since March 2019 and the arena section of the game offers a truly unique experience. The visceral one-on-one combat versus opponents from all around the world is a game play experience like no other game. It can be a great deal of fun, though it is significantly different from the main game play and has a challenging learning curve.

 

Unfortunately, Bethesda has not updated the game since Jan 2022, but the arena is still available for all to enjoy the thrill of victory... and the agony of defeat.

In the early release of the game, when the arena was first introduced, it took quite a while for players to work out what was going on and how things worked. This information was hard to come by and largely held within guilds as people slowly worked it out. Given that guilds who performed well in the arena received better rewards, they were incentivized to keep game ‘secrets’ within their group.

However, after four years, there seems little point in withholding this information and because all guilds in the top 100 now receive the same rewards, there is no advantage to be gained. Due to the difficult learning curve, most of the top 100 are long term players who have well established characters, and it's difficult for new players to break in and do well in the arena. It is great that many players have committed to play daily for 4 years, and does show how great the game play in the arena is (and how addictive), however, it indirectly makes it difficult for new players as they struggle and do not understand why.

Unless you're on Discord, where most of the interaction and information is available, it is difficult to find current information on the game on-line, as most websites and reviews are 4 years old and well out of date.

 

Therefore, the purpose of this website is to share information from experienced players on how the arena works, the secrets, the systems and the differences, to make it more accessible and enjoyable to new players.  This will help you develop your character more quickly, work out a playstyle, know what gear to aim for and enjoy the arena more. We expect this will be beneficial for all players, new and old.

First, we recommend that you join Discord. This is where most of the interaction occurs. You will find other guilds, other players and be able to share information. We also strongly recommend that you join an active Guild. Choosing one in the top 50 in the Arena leaderboard would be a good place to start (not too high unless your are level 50 or above, as you will likely get kicked for having a low level town) . There's a link below to the Good Games (GG) Blades Discord Server, which is the largest group of Blades players. It is very active there and you can find a suitable Guild, who will probably also have their own dedicated Discord server.
